a gallery about retouching
In my retouching work, I don’t just perform basic image corrections (brightness, color temperature, contrast, etc.). I consider it important to be able to work on the images at the pixel level. This is why, instead of the widely known and commonly used ‘Frequency Separation’ method, I apply a less destructive approach: separating the image into its HSL components.
My style has been influenced most by Pratik Naik, but I also recommend studying the methods of Unmesh Dinda (Piximperfect).
When retouching beauty portraits, after skin cleaning I apply dodge & burn lightness correction. This is followed by hue and saturation adjustments.
