Frequently Asked Questions

Do you absolutely insist on having a contract?

Yes, we always sign a contract in every case.

Can we only book and sign the contract in person?

It is not necessary for us to meet in person to make a booking or sign the contract. If you wish, we can discuss the details via webcam, and the contract can also be completed online.

Is a deposit required?

A deposit is required when signing the contract, the amount of which is specified in the agreement.

When is the booking considered final?

A booking is considered final once the deposit has been received and the signed contracts have been delivered to both parties.

How many photos will we receive?

All of them! Only the damaged or flawed images are deleted from the photo collection. There is no limit to the number of photos! As a guideline, for a full-day wedding, the expected number of delivered images is around 1,200. This number can be influenced by factors such as the number and duration of the ceremonies, the number of guests, available shooting time, and so on.

When will we receive the photos?

After the wedding, I deliver 30–50 photos within 2–3 days, but it may take 4–6 weeks for the full collection to be ready.

We would like a studio photoshoot. How does this affect the cost?

The studio may charge a rental fee. This is billed in addition to the photography fee and must be paid directly to the studio.

When is it advisable to book our date?

It’s advisable to plan as early as a year in advance, as the summer dates for the following year fill up very quickly. In fact, sometimes even two years ahead. This can be easier if your wedding doesn’t fall on a weekend or if you choose a spring or autumn date.

What equipment do you use?

In my work, I always prioritize quality, so having professional equipment is essential. However, one set of gear is not enough—there must be backups in case of failure. That’s why I work with two camera bodies, and I’ve chosen my lens collection so that a malfunction won’t cause any issues.

I use a Canon system with full-frame camera bodies, professional “L” series lenses, and fast prime lenses. The total value of the equipment is approximately 3–4 million Hungarian Forints.

However, the two camera bodies aren’t just for backup. There are many situations during ceremonies where there’s no time or opportunity to change lenses. In such cases, a different focal length is instantly available.

In addition to documenting events, I pay special attention to perfecting the lighting. My style is characterized by using battery-powered high-speed flashes outdoors, for which I rely on a Profoto B1, the “Ferrari” of flashes. I light dance floors and dark rooms with Canon system flashes, while preserving the atmosphere created by decorative lighting.

A friend of mine is much cheaper than this…

That’s possible. Nowadays, affordable digital cameras are available to everyone. But can someone with weak equipment and patchy knowledge perform flawlessly in real situations for 12 hours straight, in stressful conditions like 40°C summer heat?

When choosing a photographer, carefully review their portfolio! Don’t just look at the highlighted images—also check out one or more complete wedding collections to get a comprehensive view of their work. It’s possible that the posed shots weren’t conceived by the photographer themselves, but were created at a workshop following someone else’s instructions. In my portfolio, you’ll find real weddings! TELJES esküvő anyagát is, hogy átfogóbb képet kapjatok a munkájáról. Lehetséges, hogy a beállított képeket nem ő találta ki, hanem egy workshopon csinálta más instrukciói alapján. Nálam valódi esküvőket találtok a portfolióban!

What style do you work in?

I like to mix ambient light with artificial light. I am not a “natural light only” photographer who uses that as an excuse for knowing nothing about lighting. First, I scout the location, set up the composition, adjust the lighting, and then correct the pose—all in a way that the images never appear forced. I don’t just “capture the moment,” meaning I don’t photograph people in unflattering positions, hunched over or twisted.

What should we watch out for when choosing a photographer?

- You don’t see real weddings in their portfolio: images perfected with paid models, in a workshop setting, with unlimited time, don’t reflect reality!

- Complete lack of post-processing: The photographer has overcommitted or has no idea about editing techniques. White balance and exposure values are off, images are crooked or tilted, poor composition, overall color cast leaning towards orange or blue.

- Missed/forgotten photos: Unfortunately, I’ve received calls from desperate couples who realized just two days after their wedding that no group photo had been taken. When they asked the photographer to fix it, the photographer simply “didn’t have time” to come back and at least retake the family photos. This is why having a contract is so important!

Photography is easy! You just press a button!

A photographer’s equipment also wears out, just like a car. Each camera has its own “odometer,” similar to a car. The shutter has a limited lifespan. The ribbon cables in zoom lenses wear and stretch, and the electromechanics in aperture controls can break down. Computer storage devices accumulate hours of use. The photographer also needs to continually educate themselves to keep up with technological advances, style trends, and evolving photography trends.

Rengeteg járulékos költéséggel jár ez a tevékenység, amire nem is gondolnak sokan: adók, asszisztens, amortizáció (fotós és informatikai háttér), gépjármű, szállás, étkezés, munkaruha, stb... Az általatok kifizetett összegnek csupán töredéke marad a fotós haszna.

Why shouldn’t you skimp on the photographer?
