A selection of photos taken during engagement sessions.
Engagement photos are taken in the period leading up to the wedding. You can think of it like a date — just with someone taking pictures in the meantime… 🙂
This is the first time we meet with a camera around my neck. Sometimes the sight of a camera can feel intimidating, and it may even create a sense of pressure: Will I look good in the photos? That’s exactly why I put together this little selection, so you can see there’s nothing to worry about! Any initial tension usually disappears by the end of the session. This way, I can start photographing your wedding already knowing that you’ve seen and experienced what kind of images I create, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy the events of your Big Day.
As for locations, I usually suggest places that are characteristic of you (connected to your profession or previous shared experiences, for example). Of course, I can also recommend locations myself.
It’s ideal to schedule the shoot around sunrise — though more commonly around sunset. If that’s not possible, we’ll look for shaded areas, especially during the summer heat.
Naturally, it’s also important to consider a backup location in case of rain (and appropriate clothing, too!). Regarding outfits, I usually advise dressing as if you were going on a date!
During the photo session, 50–100 images are taken. These can even be used later for thank-you cards.
